Excellent from start to finish was so easy, and no hard sell of products, car was ready for collection at the time arranged and everything we asked to be done on the car was complete and also excellent price for the car we bought

There website boasts that they only deal in quality used cars and that they are famed for they're after sales care. I recently purchased one of they're second hand cars. I got a good price for my part ex so that was good, however the sales rep lied to me several times during our test drive. At speed the car vibrated badly, I correctly suggested the balancing was out but he told me it was because the car had big wheels. I then asked about the auxiliary input the car was advertised as having and having failed to find one he told me that the cigarette lighter was an aux in!? When I left the garage however I felt that I had good a good price on what I was assured was a Quality car. It had a brand new MOT and had apparently undergone an RAC multi point checkup.

However I decided to take it for a service to be sure. They found a broken coil spring, worn front brake pads and a leaky rocker cover gasket, and none of the filers or spark plugs had ever been changed (car on 60k). The back box on the exsaust is also worn to the point that it now needs changing. I raised this with the sales rep when I bought the car and he just dismissed it and said not to worry.

So in short, the quality used cars sales pitch is nonsense as they clearly didn't properly inspect or service the car. I guess some of there cars might well be quality but make sure you check for your self as it's going to be pot luck.

Now, after sales. This is where they gain that second star. The car did come with a very basic RAC warranty which 'should' cover major engine problems, although the reviews I've read online of the policy are not good. I gave up on my claim for coil springs and gasket and paid myself because it was simply taking too long and I needed my car so that I could work. The dealer did pay for break pads as they should have been picked up by the MOT, although I did have to chase them multiple times to send the cheque.

But less than three months in to my ownership I have had to spend a fair amount getting this car up to 'quality used car' standard. Perhaps that is to be expected when spending 5k on a car? Either way I feel that I was deliberately mislead and lied to when perchasing the car, and that is the main reason for 2 stars rather than 3 or 4.
